Worried About Foreclosure? Talk To Your Lender First.

By Doc Schmyz

When your home is on the verge of foreclosure, you certainly will do anything possible to save it. But the problem is how you will do it. The first thing, among many, is going to your lender and asking for help

Yet for others, contacting the lender at the first sign of financial problems seems to be not such a good idea. It may be because they are embarrassed to discuss money issues to others or they simply don't see the need to inform their lender right away of their present financial standing , most of the time they are thinking it is a temporary problem. But the fact is, asking for your lender's help will save you a lot of trouble and it will help you save your home.

Most people have the perception that lenders, like banks, think only of themselves and don't care about the future of the borrowers. This leads to the common notion that lenders show no mercy to homeowners who have defaulted on payments and will take the homes when the very first window of opportunity opens. The truth is lenders like owners will do everything they can to avoid home foreclosures. So again, the best way to save your home is to work with your lender to solve the problem.

Lenders will send a Notice of Default if you miss payments for 3 consecutive months. Call your lender as soon as possible. Inform them why you have defaulted on a payment and ask for an alternative payment schedule or temporary lower rates until your finances have returned to normal. You can also ask for Forbearance which is where your lender waives some of the penalty fees as a result of default or a mortgage refinance without going through the process of re-application, whichever you think is more economical. Mortgage lenders are more than willing to help you to avoid repossessing your home.

Talk to your lender, inform them of your situation, and ask for payment alternatives. DO NOT WAIT!!! Act fast. Understand the gravity of the situation and do something about it. It is your obligation to pay your mortgage but when worst comes to worst, your lender wants to help you keep your home. - 23199

Some Tips For Day Trading the Market

By Tom Collin

Day trading the stock exchange involves the rapid purchasing and selling of stocks on a day-to-day basis. This method is used to secure fast profits from the constant changes in stock values, minute to minute, second to second. It is rare a day trader will remain in a trade over the course of a night into the following day.

The main question that most people ask when it comes to day trading is simple : 'is it necessary to sit at a PC PC watching the markets all day 24x7 to be a successful day trader?'

The answer's no. It's not critical to sit at a P. C. twenty four seven. There are a number of things to consider, but sometimes the rule of day trading is to trade when everyone else is trading.

As with all fiscal investments, day trading is dodgy in truth, it is one of the riskiest forms of trading out there.

If you are constrained by a small amount of capital, you may not be in a position to buy large amounts of a stock, but purchasing only a small amount can add to the danger of a loss. And, glaringly, it is not possible to forecast with certainty which stocks will end up in profits and which in losses.

It's also important to know that in day trading, it's the number of shares instead of the value of shares that should be the focus. If you day trade, you may face losses, but even for the costlier stocks, the loss should be debatable, because prices do not usually fluctuate to an acute degree over the course of only 1 day.

The day trading industry deals in a big variety of stocks and shares. Here are only a few : Growth-Buying Shares shares made from profit, which continue to grow in value. Eventually, these shares will start to decline in price, and a professional seasoned trader can usually envision the future of this type of share.

Small Caps shares of firms which are on the increase and show no symptoms of stopping. Though these shares are generally inexpensive, they seem to be a very dodgy investment for day traders. You'd be safer to go with big caps and / or mid-caps, which are way more secure and stable thanks to a premium.

Unloved Stocks company stock which has not performed well during the past.

These examples are not your sole options when it comes to day trading stocks. The best way to figure out which type of stock is right for you is to invest some time for careful research, a knowledge understanding of market patterns, a solid strategy, and a controlled trading plan.

The secret to successful day trading is to be prepared. Know as much as possible about the industry before you begin essentially trading. You need to learn to trade ONLY when the market gives the right signals. - 23199

Tips for Trading Ascending Triangles Short

By Jeff Cartridge

Ascending triangles have been very popular with traders on the long side and are not so often traded when it breaks in the downward direction. An ascending triangle is defined by two lines, one on the upper boundary of the price movement which is horizontal and one on the lower side which slopes up.

Ascending Triangles Can Be Traded Short

Ascending triangles are definitely not one of the most predictable patterns that are available to trade short. With just 36% of the patterns breaking down ascending triangles also don't deliver good returns when they do. The average drop is 0.31% in 9 days with about half of the breakouts (44%) being profitable. These results aren't great, but selecting the right conditions can make trading ascending triangles better.

Specific Setups to Improve Profitability

When you look at the performance of an ascending triangle in bearish market conditions you will see the results were stronger than they were in more bullish years. Despite this the pattern works the best at turning points, which occur when the stock and the market are in an up trend or consolidating. The sector should be falling or consolidating to make the best profits.

Avoid ascending triangle trades that break down at the start of the pattern, but it is ok to let the trade go all the way to the point of the ascending triangle before breaking out. Another key to picking successful short breakouts from ascending triangles is to look for a turning point up from the lower boundary that fails to reach the upper boundary and then falls away.

Ensure that the volume is supportive of the breakout, i.e. volume as the stock falls is greater than volume as the stock rises.

Short Trading Ascending Triangles Can Be Profitable

Following a series of simple rules to determine which ascending triangle to trade can improve results dramatically. By applying these filters ascending triangles are profitable on 52% of the trades and return an average of 1.07% per trade in 10 days. This is a profitable pattern to trade.

Rollovers in Currency Markets

By Ahmad Hassam

Rollovers are unique to the currency markets. Rollovers are transactions where an open position from one settlement date is rolled over to the next settlement date. Rollovers represent the intersection of interest rate markets and forex markets.

Rollover rates depend on the difference between the interest rates of the two currencies in the pair that you are trading. Only remember that what you are trading is in fact the good old cash. Dont forget currency is money after all.

It is like having a deposit in a bank account when you are long on a currency. Its like take a loan from the bank if you are short. You should expect an interest gain or an interest expense on holding a currency position over time just as you would expect to earn interest on a bank deposit and pay interest on a loan.

Think of the open currency position as one currency with the positive balance (the currency you are long) and one with negative balance (the currency you are short). The difference between the interest rates between the two currencies is called the interest rate differential.

Because your accounts are in two different currencies, the interest rates of two different countries apply. You can find the interest rates of different countries from Wall Street Journal Online, Financial Times online or that matter any good financial website. You should look for the base or benchmark lending rates in each country.

If you hold an open position past the settlement date or value date, rollovers are usually carried out by your forex broker. The smaller the impact of the rollovers, the narrower the interest rate differential! The larger the impact from rollovers, the larger the interest rate differential!

Some online forex brokers apply the rollover rates by applying the rollover credit or debit directly to your margin balance. Other forex brokers apply the rollover rates by adjusting the average rate of your open position. Rollovers are applied to your open currency position by two offsetting trades that result in the same open position.

Day traders dont have to worry about rollovers. Rollovers do not apply for day traders who usually close their positions at the end of each trading day. Rollovers are not applied if you dont carry a position over the change in the value date. Rollovers only apply to your over night open position carried over to the next day. Rollovers are applied to open position after 5.00 PM EST change in value date.

If you are short the currency with the higher interest rate and long the currency with the low interest rates, rollovers will cost you money. If you are long the currency with the higher interest rate and short the currency with the lower interest rate, rollover can earn you interest income. - 23199
